Dear Colleagues and Esteemed Delegates,

It is my great pleasure, on behalf of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), to welcome you to the 6th FANUS Conference, to be held in Cape Town, South Africa.

Under the theme, “Nutrition for a Resilient and Sustainable Africa: Policy, Science and Practice in a Changing Food Environment,” this conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to engage with the complex and evolving challenges shaping nutrition across the continent. As Africa continues to navigate rapid urbanisation, climate pressures, and transformations in the food environment, the need for integrated, evidence-based, and contextually relevant solutions has never been greater.

Delegates can expect stimulating keynote addresses, insightful panel discussions, and high-quality oral and poster presentations that showcase cutting-edge research and innovative interventions. Importantly, the conference aims to amplify African-led scholarship and foster collaboration that drives sustainable impact across diverse settings.
